Will you sign for safe bus stops?

We're calling on all the governments in the UK to ensure bus stops are safe for passengers and pedestrians.

Currently, some bus stop designs pose serious risks for both pedestrians and cyclists, and particularly people with sight loss. These designs force passengers to cross a cycle path in order to board or alight a bus – causing fears of collision and injury, making everyday journeys unnecessarily stressful, and leading some people to avoid travelling by bus altogether.

The Department for Transport has already taken notice of our concerns in England. But to make real change, we need as many people as possible on board across the UK. By adding your name to this petition, you'll join our calls to halt all hazardous bus stop designs and strengthen guidance, so that safety and accessibility come first. We'll then share this petition with all governments in the UK.

To sign the petition, enter your details on the right hand side of this page, then select 'add my name'.
