Will you sign for safe bus stops?

A man stands with his guide dog waiting to board a bus. On his right side, a cyclist passes close by.

We're calling on all the governments in the UK to ensure bus stops are safe for passengers and pedestrians. By signing this petition, you'll back our campaign to halt all hazardous designs and strengthen guidance, so that safety and accessibility come first.

Right now, some bus stop designs pose serious risks for both pedestrians and cyclists, and particularly people with sight loss. These force passengers to cross a cycle path in order to board or alight a bus – causing fears of collision and injury, making everyday journeys unnecessarily stressful, and leading some to avoid travelling by bus altogether.

The Department for Transport has already taken notice of our concerns in England. But to make real change, we need as many people on board as possible.

We'll share this petition with all governments in the UK. Enter your details on this page and select 'add my name' to sign.
