Will you write to your police and crime commissioner?

The explosion in e-scooter use over recent years is having a significant impact on people with sight loss. Nearly 75% of people with sight loss who have encountered an e-scooter have had a negative experience.

Using a privately owned e-scooter in public spaces is currently illegal, yet enforcement action by the police varies dramatically across the country.

Please will you write to your police and crime commissioner, using our quick template, asking them to prioritise tackling the illegal use of privately owned e-scooters?

In some areas, regional mayors have responsibility for policing and crime. If you live in one of these areas, your email will be sent to your mayor, or their deputy mayor for policing and crime.
